Locally known as the 'Parabadi', this monument has become like a central point for the town of Vasad.  Initially it was used as drinking water fountain.   In present times this veritable monument is used to display public notices and as a central place for Garbas.			Just as any other place has a monument to display the local time, Vasad has its own grandfather clock tower, known as the'Tower' in short. For times immemorable this ancient clock has been keeping the time of the town.
